OPEN TRIALS & TEAM SELECTION

DRESS CODE:  Long black dress pants, or skirt of a suitable length, covered shoes and collard shirt

  • Singles Round Robin  
  • Players wanting to nominate themselves for selection to trial by adding their name to the list, which will be placed on the notice board in the club. 
  • Trialling selection committee will determine which players are qualified to trial and players will be advised prior to the trialling day/s 
  • $50 trialling fee must be paid on the day of trialling, before any frames have been played.  If payment is not received, the player will not be permitted to trial.  The $50 trialling fee will be deducted from the player Levi should they be selected to represent Litchfield in one of the representative teams.  Should a player be unsuccessful and not qualify for one of the teams, $25 will be refunded back to the player.
  • After the round robin has been completed, any player who has played through undefeated in his/her respective group shall be deemed the Singles representative for the team. If no one goes through undefeated, the top four players after the round robin has been completed, will play off for the singles position in his/her team. 
  • After the Singles has been decided, the remainder of the players in the team may team up with a partner and playoff for the Doubles position in the team.
  • No player is permitted to play for doubles if they have already been named as the singles rep.
  • The committee will determine the Team manager, after nominations for the position have been received.
  • Once the team has been decided the Captain and Vice Captain will be decided by a team vote.
  • The Manager may not be named as Captain, Vice Captain or hold a  Singles or Doubles position.
  • When Travelling the team sizes will be:
  1. Reserve Grade – 7 players, including 1 Singles and 2 Doubles Reps. 
  2. If the Appointed Manager is unsuccessful in making the team, he/she may be permitted to be listed as a Reserve player for the team.  The Captain and Vice Captain of the team will only permit the reserve player to play if it is determined necessary.
  3. Ladies  - 7 players, including 1 singles and 2 Doubles Reps.
  4. If the Appointed Manager is unsuccessful in making the team, he/she may be permitted to be listed as a Reserve player for the team.  The Captain and Vice Captain of the team will only permit the reserve player to play if it is determined necessary.
  5. Open team - 7 players, including 1 singles and 2 Doubles Reps.
  6. If the Appointed Manager is unsuccessful in making the team, he/she may be permitted to be listed as a Reserve player for the team.  The Captain and Vice Captain of the team will only permit the reserve player to play if it is determined necessary.
  • NB: When the teams are not travelling all teams will be permitted to have 8 players in the team
  • Junior players will only be permitted to represent Litchfield in one of the senior teams if they have reached the age of 15 at the start of the State Championships.
  • If a person under the age of 18 has been selected to play for one of the Litchfield teams, that player must be accompanied by a Parent/guardian for the duration of the championships. 
  • Both the Minor and the Parent/Guardian must to sign a contract concerning the minor. 
  • All conditions on the contract must be strictly adhered to by both the minor and the parent/guardian
  • All team members representing Litchfield Confederation of Cue sports Inc should act in a sportsmanlike manner and under no circumstances bring the association into disrepute
  • All players selected to represent the association shall travel with and be accommodated with the entire team. 
  • Should a team member wish to make alternate arrangements for travel or accommodation, the set Levi must still be paid in full and any other expenses incurred by the player will be at their own cost.  The Secretary or the Treasurer must be made aware of any alternative arrangements within 1 week after team selection is announced.
  • Should a team member require extra accommodation or travel arrangements for other persons travelling with the player, the player must advise the Secretary or the Treasurer within 1 week of the team selection. 
  • The team Levi will be calculated only on the number of team members.  The Secretary or Treasurer will advise any additional travel or accommodation costs required by a player for other persons travelling with the player.
  • All Levi payments and additional costs must be paid in full before travel commences.
  • Should a player have difficulty in meeting the deadline for final payment, the player must address the situation with the Treasurer, who may at his/her discretion allow extra time
